Each section of the Association Wing Chun Syllabus has 2 parts and a number of sub sections. The sections are based around the forms in Wing Chun. The intention is to check the student knows firstly what makes up Wing Chun, namely the forms. The student must also be able to perform the techniques and drills. They must then learn to apply and apply them in a self defence situation. The theory parts are to check the student understands the system and does not just mimic its movements.
Check the first column when you are ready to grade. The instructor will check the second column when you pass. The third column is only checked if you achieve a distinction. These are rare and intended to be used for people who want to train to instructor level.
